This is a fairly new State Park located on the outskirts of San Antonio. It's pretty large and has many miles of hiking and biking trails, so if you're looking for some distance then you might like this place. However, the one time I went I was less than impressed. I hiked about 8 miles or so of the trails which were recommended to me by the park ranger as being the most scenic. There wasn't much to see. It's just your typical hike thru cedar infested hills with no views (thanks to the cedar). There are views on the ridge overlooks, but the majority of the trails have little to nothing to offer. Very boring hike. I see no need to revisit this park ever again. I give it 3 flags somewhat out of pity, and also just because it has good mileage for blind people who just want to hike and don't care if they see nothing but dirt and cedar.
I will say, however, that the facilities there are very nice. Since this is a new park the buildings and such are all very new and nice.

I had my camera with me when I did this hike, but there was absolutely nothing worth taking a photo of.
