ABOUT THE PLACEAs far as public swimming pools go, this one is pretty neat. It's basically a concreted section of the Colorado River that has a 1940's feel to it. There is a large grassy knoll for laying out, and the pool has two sections: the lap section and the general swimming section. The water tends to be chilly due to it coming from the river. Entrance just just a few dollars. The pool recently underwent a major renovation, and more information can be found on the Friends of Deep Eddy pool site.
HOW TO GET THERETake MoPac to Lake Austin Blvd. Exit and go west on Lake Austin Blvd. Then turn onto Deep Eddy Ave and follow until you see the parking lot.
