I've been to this park twice, and both times it was unswimmable. The first time it was at flood stage, and the 2nd time it was barely flowing. If this was the only public swimming hole in the area I'd probably rate it higher, but there are much more interesting places than this. Just down the road is Pedernales Falls State Park, and the swimming areas there are 100 times better.
HOW TO GET THERETake 290 past Dripping Springs. Follow the signs to Blanco and then to the park.

The Blanco River during a flood.
This is normally a dam where people swim at the park.
